Just wanted to let you know, Rapha has released some photos from their project “Theatres of Cross”. 

This project from a UK-based company has put Gloucester into a category with race venues in Roubaix, France; Koksijde, Belgium and Nobeyama, Japan.

Twinge Worthy

As a continued tribute to Back-to-School Week, I have found some inspiring examples of why we all need school in the first place.

While some of these messages are funny, and some are mildly inappropriate (I apologize), some just flat out make me twitch!

Yikes.

Colton High School takes the cake though with its expensive and permanent misspelled signage.  Congratulations to you all (not, for the record, congradulations).

Does anyone double check their spelling (or, even more embarrassing, their phrasing) anymore? Sign all of the responsible parties up for a lesson on homophones immediately!  It isn’t hard, people!  To, too, two.   There, their, they’re.  It is truly more than I can handle.

It would be insane to miss any of the Schooner doings all weekend and RD has a plastic card she will carry so as not to miss one event but remember Cape Ann has other stuff going on. Rockport Farmer’s Market stop by Saturday at 9AM and get a jump on the weekend. Pick up Anadama, Abbott Honey, Sasquatch Smokehouse Salmon or mussels. Then go to Schooner festival but take thick slice of Anadama, butter, honey, add smoked mussels and stuff that in your face while watching the Schooners. Do it early so you have room for the lobster mania at Harbor loop later int he afternoon. Almost forgot the tomato jam stuff which sounds as weird as my above sandwich but it’s crazy good.

Yesterday afternoon Daughter Amanda and I shared a beautiful mommy daughter afternoon in Rockport together, playing tourist, after dropping a special Surprise Birthday Gift off at “My Place Restaurant” at the end of Bearskin Neck for my BFF Dee Noble. Bearskin Neck is really a great place to visit if your in the Cape Ann area. They have it all, a wide variety of shops, food, and art galleries, with the bonus of breath taking scenic views in its mist. Amanda and I shopped our way down the neck, in and out of several gift, jewelry and clothing stores, explored a few art galleries and enjoyed a slice of Apple Strudel at the Famous “Helmut”s Strudel” Of Bearskin Neck.  The Last Resort Located diagonally across from Helmut’s Strudel really struck a cord in me, returning me back to the days of shopping with my Mom for specialty Baby clothing for BJ & Amanda when they were babies.  My heart was fluttering as I took a few photos of their gorgeous lien and cotton infant and toddler clothing yesterday. If your a Grandmother or parent in the Cape Ann area this holiday weekend, who is looking for beautiful boutique style children clothing, run don’t walk to “The Last Resort”  on Bearskin Neck…and tell them Sista Felicia sent you!
