Parmesan Potatoes~ One of my son BJ’s most favorite side dishes! He would happily eat these potatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. BJ requested them last night as a side dish for he and his friend Williams’ Fried Muddica Chicken, Zucchini fries, and Parmesan potato dinner.

I use tweetcaster on my mobile devices and tweetdeck on my desktop computer. For some reason the official twitter apps hide the great “Retweet with comment” option I find so useful. For sharing stuff from the blog it lets me edit the tweet to include shoutouts to the people mentioned I the post.
My guess is that the unofficial Twitter clients provide so much more functionality that if the official twitter app offered those options it would probably tax the Twitter servers so much that it would bring down the system.
Anyway that’s my skeptical guess.

There’s an unfinished conference room in the back of our office where no one ever goes. Table tops lie on their sides with no legs. Deconstructed cubicles stand against the walls, shelves and desktops assorted like giant puzzle pieces. A dry erase marker lies on the ground, never used.
It’s there in the dark that I write.
As public relations professionals, content generation is becoming an ever more important part of our job. Clients need a continuous stream of blog posts, opinion articles, news releases, feature articles and social media posts to connect with their audiences.
For the next few days while in Mexico I thought I’d repost several of the short videos that I made for our community this past year. First up is the Beautiful Blue Lobster, featuring Joey, and filmed at Captain Joe and Sons, with a trio of Pete Seeger songs.

The Fish on Fridays series is a collaboration between Gloucester photographers Kathy Chapman and Marty Luster. Look for various aspects of Gloucester’s centuries-old fishing industry highlighted here on Fridays.
This winter has been tough on everyone, but the fishing industry has been particularly hard hit. In this week’s video, storm scenes set the stage for a chat with Steve Connolly Seafood‘s Romeo Solviletti who describes the effects of this stormy and frigid winter on Gloucester’s fleet, processors and customers.
Thanks to GMG’s own weatherman, Peter J. Lovasco, for his report during a 66 mph blast on the back shore.
Gracie Curran & The High Falutin’ Band with Roomful of Blues Horns and Bruce Bears on keys. Â If that wasn’t enough hear “Proof of Love” with the original arrangements LIVE for the First Time Ever.
Ok, Â so if you still are not convinced Lydia Warren Band will start the evening off (see video below, she knows how to sing and play that guitar).
Get your tickets NOW !!!!! Its gonna be HOT! Â Both Gracie & Lydia performed at last year’s Gloucester Blues Festival.

A few weeks ago, I wrote a piece encouraging you, as artists, to create your own community. I discussed building your own community of fans and followers without getting sucked into over-hyped social sites such as MySpace or FaceBook. Reflecting on it a bit more, I realize there is another ingredient to success in online social networking….not only must you build a community…but you must become the leader of that community.
Over this past weekend I read an article in Wired magazine (issue 15.12), Almost Famous by Clive Thompson. The article discusses the relatively recent phenomenon of microcelebrities.
Clive puts it this way:
Microcelebrity is the phenomenon of being extremely well known not to millions but to a small group – a thousand people, or maybe only a few dozen. As DIY media reach ever deeper into our lives, it’s happening to more and more of us….[If you engage in online information publishing via web sites, blogs, and newsletters] odds are there are complete strangers who know about you — and maybe even talk about you.
You, dear artist, need to become a microcelebrity (no doubt many of you already are).
I enjoy your blog and check it every day. I have about 20 barrels I would like to sell. (See attached photos). The barrels are 35 gallons. I am in the wholesale flower business and the preservative for the flowers comes in these barrels. There is nothing toxic. The main ingredients were sugar and water.
Please let me know if you or anyone else might be interested. I live in Gloucester and would be happy to drop one off at your place so you can see them.

Thanks for your time.

Yesterday my son BJ and I snapped a few photos during Coconuts, annual checkup with Dr. Ray Cahill at SeaPort Veterinary Hospital located at 100 Eastern Ave, Gloucester.  Dr.Cahill and his staff are wonderful. They specialize in getting to know their pet patients, just as well as the owners who care for them. Our Coconut is a pure breed Conton de Tulear. The Cottons de Tulear  is a rear breed that is known to be loyal, happy, playful, affectionate, obedient, and healthy.   Dr. Cahill has been treating Coconut for the past few years and is well aware of her temperament and personality.  He lovely settles her nerves before he starts her exam, with his clam and gentle ways gaining Coconuts trust allowing him to give her a thorough exam at each visit.Â
Thank You Dr. Ray Cahill and Staff for the excellent care you give to our beloved Coconut!
