Oh thank you ~ beautiful painting and memories of my grandmother buying that special dress, money going in the tube and the tube zipping through the store! How do you explain to your grandchildren ~ then and now ~

Besides the dress issue I agree with Mary, those zip tubs used to fascinate me. My grandmother (with her Sicilian/English – Siclish?) used to always call it “Dumpity Brown’s”. Such a delight to be with.
