Spring has barely sprung, but yesterday was a little taste of summer. I went for a walk in the late afternoon sunshine at Brace Cove and Niles Pond where I ran into my friends JoeAnn and MJ, who were also walking their dogs on this glorious afternoon. I was looking for muskrats and seals. I didn’t see the seals, but the muskrat swam alongside our route, keeping a wary eye on my every move.

After the luxuriously delightful beach walk, I came home and cooked up some Captain Joe and Sons lobsters and fresh corn for dinner. So looking forward to the warm weather!!!

Just in from Texas the day before and California the day before that they were astonished at the buaty of our harbor, as she put it it is like looking at a post card.
She heard about Gloucester on the internet, and if its on the internet it must be true,

It feels so wonderful to have the sun on my face today and watching everything start to bloom. We have seen many bunnies around, they are cute and faster than I can reach for my camera

Yes my Rosie has become bunny-crazy; she is so excited to see if they are in the yard every morning–they have the audacity to poop in her territory. I think we are experiencing a population explosion of bunnies–perhaps the Red Foxes kept the bunnies under control. I haven’t seen a Red Fox in three years.

Yes, and I have the urge to photograph the Spring colors before they’re gone.

With this cooler spring weather, color should be good for a bit!!

So good to learn from your podcast, Kim, that Gloucester is having a normal spring–and I’m encouraged by all of the above comments. We are packed and ready to head for Cape Ann in a couple of days. Looking forward to all of the tastes, sights, sounds and good people of Gloucester!
