Community Stuff 10/23/12

On the next Cape Ann Profiles show host Rich Sagall interviews Andrew Innes, a supporter of ballot question #5. This question concerns the Supreme Court ruling known as "Citizens United," a ruling that has had a great impact on the current election.

What: Memoirist Helen Fremont, gives a talk on Perspective and Point of View in Memoir. Helen’s first memoir, After a Long Silence, was published in 1999 and tells of being raised Roman Catholic and discovering in her thirties that her parents were in fact Jewish Holocaust survivors. She is currently working on a second memoir focusing on how the trauma of one generation is expressed in the next. Helen works as a public defender in Boston.


On Friday. Afternoon a group a new moms and their babies will be having a Halloween parade on Main St. At 1:30 in Gloucester 10-26-12

Lahey Health System will host a community forum discussing the future state of healthcare, payment reform and its impact on hospitals and healthcare delivery systems.  Presenters will include Denis Conroy, Vice President of System Integration for Lahey Health System and Cindy Cafasso Donaldson, Vice President and Executive Director for Addison Gilbert Hospital.  All residents are encouraged to attend this presentation which will be followed by a question and answer session
