My friends in The Bandit Kings
have decided on a trying a pre-sale pledge
(Downloads, Rare Live Tracks, Cd’s, T-Shirts, House Concerts and More..)
at http://www.indiegogo.com/helpthebanditkings
to raise funds for the next Studio Recording.

my take on the whole process is detailed below or just hit the link to go directly to the site. The latest popular and most successful experiment in music production
is doing a funding campaign(Indiegogo, Kickstarter, PledgeMusic, etc..)
to let us know what you’re preferences are today before we manufacture and print
to avoid wasting precious resources on items nobody wants.

Maybe you stream or download for free but collect Artful concert T-Shirts or posters?
Maybe you like to host parties and hire live musicians only?
Maybe you still love Cd’s?
Maybe it’s all of the above?
or if it’s none of the above
maybe you know a patron of the arts or an interested family member you can forward to.

Either way I really appreciate you’re time and please feel no obligation in any way. A non-vote helps our analysis just as much.
If it’s your cup o’ tea, drink it!

all the best

ps. a bit of proseThe Future/Fall 2012

I remember 8 track tapes in the car, Albums in the house, using Cassettes to record off the radio,
especially those memorial weekend 500 top song marathons while shooting hoops in the driveway.
Got a Cd player for graduation and bought my first ones at Gloucester Music, then came Mp3s, Wave Files
and we traded hard drives then thumb drives and sent files over email, downloaded Itunes and Rhapsody
and today I stream on, Youtube, Spotify and make Pandora radio stations for the car with high resolution Pono on the horizon.

The Future is now. With so many options available at our fingertips
Please Help us decide where to invest our resources.

Microphone technology hasn’t really changed.
Most instruments have been around for decades if not centuries
and recording techniques,
though editing is much easier with computers,
still depend on performance, time and passion.
