  1. This work is by Pablo Edouardo, a great local, Bolivian-born-GLOUCESTER sculptor whose monumental statue of Sir Thomas More will be dedicated at Boston College soon. A couple weeks ago I saw the latter sculpture being finished at New England Sculpture Service, a foundry owned by another Gloucester resident! The work is magnificent! Let’s hope ti’s announced in the GDT soon…I’d like to know more about it.

  2. continuing the comment on the artist Eduoardo above…

The sculpture is in the sculpture garden of State of the Art Gallery, owned by Sharon Pablo and Roger Armstrong. At one time there were many other works in this outdoor space, but this work by Eduoardo was the inspiration for this garden and the inaugural piece to grace it.

Not sure why I’m identified as Anonymous….

  3. Hello and thank you, “Anonymous” Rebecca, our very knowledgeable Gloucester resident Art Historian! She can also tell you everything about ANNA HYATT HUNTINGTON- the famous Annisquam sculptor who sculpted the Joan of Arc right in the middle of Gloucester.
Glad to see that folks are interested to know WHO created the work of art. Pablo is indeed a magnificently strong and talented sculptor.
