If you’ve been an FOB for any amount of time you know that from the hundreds of interviews I perform from my desk that I frame my subjects with two of my favorite things hanging on the wall in our office- The New York Post Cover of ARod with the huge caption “A-Hole” and the framed print of Jason Varitek stuffing his mitt up in ARod’s grillpeice.
So the sports reporters will ask if his number deserves to be retired at Fenway to which I respond “Are you serious?”
Without his leadership and without this scene below igniting his team you don’t have a ring. Bottom line, end of story.

Good Morning Gloucester 
I love Tek: those squats he did for all those years.. what a Captain.. saw him hit many hits and homeruns and catch many games with many different pitchers, also as a Bruin once said, love to have him in between the pipes.. good luck to him, hope he stays with the Red Sox… Also shut out to Tim Wakefield, about 15 years ago he winked at me after a game.. (as my husband will say, I am a Groupie) love them both and thank them for many great seasons.

Of all the great moments in sports history in Boston, the most pivotal, the one that got rid of the curse, the one that changed the direction of a season that erased 86 years of futility, was that face wash.
One can argue that Pudge was a better catcher but Tek has two rings.
