Everyone Knows Pete Marston as a Friendly Fun Guy.
Friday Night his friends and family will celebrate his life with an all star local musical cast and plenty of food. Bring a dish if you would like to and any pictures you have of Pete to share.

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of East Gloucester’s Peter Marston (of Peter & Annette) on Wed. morning following a short cancer-related illness. Peter was a long-time, invaluable employee at Seatronics, a loving husband, father & grandfather. A very gentle soul who will be greatly missed in the community. There will be a celebration of his life (party!) and gathering of friends and family as follows: Friday, Sep 23, 6:30p at the American Legion, Washington St., Gloucester. Potluck, photos and musicians/instruments encouraged. This was a much-loved guy… let’s give him a huge send-off!

Never passed that man when he didn’t have a huge smile on his face. Not unlike everyone else…you could never pass him on his way to work without commenting on his horrendous commute. We are sorry to hear of his passing. He was a really good guy!

How wonderful, Linda! Perhaps an indoor version of the Reed’s Wharf memorials we knew for so many other loved ones we have lost over the years… Greta, Al, Linda, Kasimir and more. My heart is with everyone who had the great priviledge of knowing this fine young man. I was very honored to be know as “Aunty Helen” and loved Pete dearly for his giant heart and never ending kindness to all. RIP.

Pete will be missed by many whom he touched, and also largely by the Gloucester Fishing Vessel owners; whom have lost a fixture in their lives; no one in recent years has helped the local fisherman understand and fix their many new electronics that now are a main stay in our business. You will be missed and never replaced. God Bless And Rest in the knowlege you were loved man. Joe T.

Although I haven’t seen Pete in many years I have very happy memories of running wild with Peter and Ingrid at the ‘Barn’. So sorry to hear this sad news.

I would like to wish Pete and his family the best and also would note that Pete was just as much a part of this fishing community than any skipper that has sailed this port in the last 50 years. I would say he was one of the kindest and smartest people I have come across in this industry,Pete we will all miss you ! Happy sailing and fair seas my friend .
