Friday night sail

Smooth sailing off Andrews Point last night with the Hurricane Katia pushing in a nice swell from a distance. If anyone knows this green hull out of Rockport Harbor sail number 283 I have a ton of photos I could stick on a server. The moon, the boat, and the surge made some decent scenery. More later.

    1. Did a wiki on Nonsuch and you nailed it. About 33 feet moderately beamy with a wishbone boom. The insignia on the sail matches. When I saw the insignia and the wishbone I planted it in the memory banks that they both match the classic Windsurfer from 1980. I’ve got one of those in my garage. This one has obviously been taken care of meticulously with a gleaming green paint job. (Unlike the one in the garage.)

  1. repeat…Phil Goldsmith has a Nonsuch in Rockport harbor…it is green and a 26′ not 33’…check to see if his sail/hull number is the same…

  2. PM…after I saw your post I did a WIKI check myself…if the number on the sail is equivalent to the hull number this must be a 30′ model and not “Treehouse”…maybe another Cape Ann boat though…

  3. The boat is ‘Wave Dancer’, a Nonsuch 30U out of Rockport, owned by Glen Giesman, 10 Bennett Rd. Wayland, ma, 01778, phone number 508 358 2306. I got this from the Nonsuch association which I belong to. I also have a green Nonsuch30 Seminole. Love the photo, and I’m sure Glen would. Kent Bowker
