  1. Len,
Fantastic shot… best one that ive scene of the “Babe”!!!!! She was built in 1974 down in Mettaposoit Mass. A professor in RI had her built and sailed it from N>E> to the Carribian with his wife. He also took passengers for hire in different locations.

I had commercially fished out of Gloucester with a dragger I owned named SISSEL B for over thirty years. When the goivernbment forced me out of commercial fishing I bought her in 2006 from him and brought her to Gloucester to take passsengers for hire. In the spring of 2007 I fell and became a paraplegic, t 8, 9, 10 incomplete. In 2010 i had another accident that resulted in my becomming an above the knee amputee. While rehabing at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital I designed a crane and winch system that I now use to get aboard the schooner. Its fantastic to sail and I try to do it as oftewn as possible.

Ill look for your email and get a note off to you, in the meantime, thank you very much for getting this wonderfull shot.

    Regards,
