What a gorgeous shot, your pictures are always amazing, such attention to detail and composition. And then you pick the perfect quotes to go with them. Thank You!

I’d like to know exactly what book this Rachel Carson quote comes from. I see it quite a bit, but never see its source credited.
Thanks if you can tell me,

Mary,
I found the quote on an online quotation site without a book reference. You sparked my curiosity, but further on line efforts have not been fruitful . However, I have emailed the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge to ask for their help. Also if any GMG readers can identify the source, they will get a gold star.

My guess is “The Silent Sping?”

Sorry that should say “The Silent Spring.”

The Sea Around Us is a better guess, now that I’ve already guessed & mispelled.
