WOW! How fabulous is that! It’s like a huge weight has been lifted off downtown.

That’s amazing. I am having a hard time figuring out what I am looking at since I am seeing stuff from viewpoints I have never seen before.
Does the Top Side Grill now have a view of the harbor? Are they changing their name to Dock Side Grill?
It’s like I am looking at Gloucester 2.0. Well worth the wait.
If I can make one small suggestion. Having done one volunteer task this winter of helping to remove the lobster traps from the Lobster Trap Christmas Tree. Dragging them to East Gloucester was not fun. I would let fishermen store their traps on this property if they would also loan them for the tree. It would be way more fun to truck them from here to the Police Station spot.
Better yet, make the center of this property the point where Lobster Trap Christmas Tree 2010 grows. Plenty of room for Christmas carolers and we can make the biggest tree ever with a 200 foot base!
I can hear whining in a small town in Maine already. 8)

I am sure the ideas will come in a flood now that everyone can see what a centerpiece this property is for the downtown/waterfront area.

What a truly beautiful site. This was the street of my youth. I can remember the Frank Davis Fish, and the Gloucester Cold Storage. Westerbeaks. The Gloucester National Bank. . Now with this we have an opening to the harbor. Lets hope the Building Center starts cleaning up their lot. Gloucester is truly on the move. Its awakening to our heritage.

Beautiful property,
now put the site up for sale ASAP, return funds back into operating capital and get the tax base as well as the harbor front on the move in the right direction.

I thought it was pictures of some third world country ,till I read it was i4c2 . That said , it will take time to make it look good ,but the location is hard to beat . I have been enjoying going there for years ,picking pussy willows in the spring and all kinds of wild flowers all summer . Sitting on the dock watching seals swim in front of Cape Pond Ice and the beautiful Gloucester Fleet . I have had many talks with the fishermen ,my dog and I made friends with a fishermans dog who goes out on the boat any time it seta out . That others found it an eyesore seemed limited thinking , I loved the place .Now we will attempt to tart it up with grass seed and whatever the idea of “pretty “is to most folk . Well good I guess . One person can’t have all the fun .
