4th Annual Gloucester New Arts Festival Details:
The 2008 Gloucester New Arts Festival (GNAF) is continuing its commitment to high quality contemporary art and performance in the unique iconic and under-utilized spaces of Gloucester , MA . This year highlights the well-honed craft of improvised music and dance performance for a choice few of Gloucester ‘s unique historic landmarks.
The festival will take place on August 23 and 24, and for the second year, all performances are once again TOTALLY FREE of charge. By eliminating ticket sales, we must raise this through fundraising!
We are asking for donations to help raise funds to cover our production costs. GNAF has been awarded a generous $4,000 matching grant from the
Society for the Encouragement of the Arts (seARTS) through the
Massachusetts Cultural Council John and Abigail Adams Grant.

Cousin Larry shot into town for the week for the Fiesta. He’s a regular reader of the blog and if you read the comments you’ll note how much he misses all those great dishes that you can only get around here. The pictures I put up drive him nuts.
When Larry lived in Gloucester, back in the day we would make regular trips up to Joe’s American Bar and Grill for the same dish- The Blackened Chicken Pasta. Vaughn, Brian, the Palazolla boys, Moo Moo, Larry and I went to Joe’s the other night in honor of Cousin Larry being back in town.
Joe’s didn’t disapoint. That same garlicky goodness and the killer bread with the butter all washed down with a couple nice Sam Summer Ales. It was great.

What’s better than getting that nice warm bread before your meal at Joe’s American Bar and Grill?
Getting it and breaking it with friends and family, that’s what!
They ought to set up a little corner by the entranceway to Joe’s in the Northshore Mall where you could get that bread to go. I swear I’d pay $10 a loaf.

Nothing better than Fiesta with friends and family and these good folks know it!
What do you suppose is going through his mind at that very moment?
