Wake held for beloved EMT who was victim of stabbing in Nashua From The Nashua Telegraph
You would not have believed the amount of uniformed EMT’s who showed up on bus after bus after bus to pay their respects to Paul III. It was amazing as the busses just continued to roll in and the EMT came in wave after wave through the line at Greely’s.
The funeral is today at St Ann’s at 11. The EMT company that Paul III worked for is sending a 1977 Ambulance to transport Paul’s body today from Greely’s to The Church and there will be many many Ambulance Companies sending ambulances for the procession as well.
Our friend Paul asked if people could take pictures of the procession for remembrance sake. If any of our readers show up and take photos of the procession with all the ambulances please send them in and we will put together a remembrance slide show for Paul and his family. Paul specifically asked for this.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish, on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited.
You may have read about Paul III medical mission trips to the Dominican republic. With help from Father Matthew Green we set up a fund to donate to that mission in Paul’s name. if you would like to donate here’s the info-

GLOUCESTER, Mass. – The six members of the EasCare Ambulance Service Honor Guard flanking the entrance of James C. Greely Funeral Service were just a few of the hundreds who gathered Friday afternoon to remember Nashua resident Paul Frontiero.
Frontiero, a 27-year-old EMT, was killed Sunday after he confronted a man threatening his two female roommates with a knife. Police say that man was Matthew Packer, 19, who is charged with second-degree murder.
Frontiero has been lauded as a hero, both in his work with EasCare Ambulance and for his actions Sunday night. He suffered multiple stab wounds, according to investigators, including one to his heart.
Joe Giacalme, a family friend, said it didn’t take long to figure out Frontiero was a good person to know.
“Anybody that ever met him once knew what a great guy he was,” Giacalme said. “People use the word ‘hero,’ and it’s not an under-used word in this case. He gave his life to help save someone else’s.”

I contacted Father Matthew Green at Holy Parish about setting up a way to donate in honor of Paul Frontiero III.
As you know Paul the III went on medical missions to the Dominican Republic and was scheduled to return there in two weeks time. In honor of the way Paul III gave of himself all the way through his life we set up a place where people can contribute.
Here are photos from Paull III last visit to The Dominican mission-

WHAT KIND OF FISH IS THIS?
From deb Clarke;
WHAT KIND OF FISH IS THIS?
found it in a tank at the Seapocket Lab of the Gloucester Maritime Center
http://www.gloucestermaritimecenter.org/. A simple google search identified the image as a grunt, my Audubon field guide identifies it as a Porgy.
I’m gathering this information for a new body of work based on fish that I have not painted before. Some of the new paintings will be of favorite aquarium fish that I have lived with. Others will be new encounters through tidepools, my visit to the Maritime Center, the Boston Aquarium (a visit is next on my list). The artwork will exhibit up in Maine in the New Year. to see my progress subscribe to my blog:
