If you are too numb to get it from the pics, this video might beat the location into your melon.
My View of Life on the Dock
Dawn Gadow- Director at Art Haven Writes-
So, we’ve taken the two of Paul’s Art Rocks! he was wonderful enough to give us and we’ve hidden them, within walking distance of Art Haven.
Find one of these rocks, bring it to Art Haven next week, and you get a free ticket to the upcoming Buoy Auction fundraiser on January 28th! And, in case you didn’t see it a couple days ago – that ticket will give you a chance to win an "Art Rocks" buoy at the event. And remember, in all of this, you get to help support our after-school art programs!
The first rock is in a very artist-ey place, up on a hill with one of the best views of the harbor, and one of the coolest old houses I’ve seen on Cape Ann.
The second is in a very central downtown location, in front of a building near and dear to Maggie Rosa’s heart (as well as all of the rest of ours).
Thanks Joey and I’ll see you soon! Thanks for all you do as always!
Dawn
Art Haven Director Dawn Gadow contacted Paulie about making one of his famous Art Rocks Buoys for the upcoming Buoy Auction and Art Show at Cruiseport.
So for all of you who have tried and failed to get yourself an Art Rock you can bid for Paulie’s Art Rocks Buoy- (a one of a kind) at the Art Haven Buoy Auction. I can attest to this being a super fun night. The Art Show itself is worth it, seeing all the talent that is coming up in this community is amazing.
Join us on Friday, January 28th from 6:00-9:00 for Art Haven’s biggest fundraiser of the year! See the beautiful artwork created by our students throughout 2010 and take home your favorite buoy from the 2010 lobster trap tree!
Comming to an Auction near you!
I’ve been contacted to sell my “Art Rocks” but I did’nt start the idea to sell them.
BUT,
In a few weeks there will be an Auction where if you really want one of these things you’ll be able to bid on one of these Rocks or something similar.
Stay Tuned for more Information.
This may be the last “ART, ROCKS!” of the year!
Easy place to park, draw, and meditate!
Can you find it?
Good Luck!
Sorry, Mr. Morrision your Scientific Theory of the Rock Jumping back into the Sea has been disproved.
Email from the Finder;
“I just wanted to let you know that I found “your” Good Harbor Beach Rock and am just delighted with it. I follow Good Morning Gloucester daily. When I saw the rock on the site Sunday morning I just knew I had to have it. So, my husband and I raced off to Good Harbor Beach because we knew just where it was perched and we believe we had an advantage because of the time change. What makes this rock even more special to me is that I have worked in the house in which you sketched on the rock for the past 23 years. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to have such a special piece of art in my home. I look forward to finding more of your Art Rocks. Thank you”
The Finder didn’t give me her name. She’s welcomed to leave a comment if she likes.
Last Sunday while driving around the Back Shore I decided to stop at the Elks club Parking lot and Sketch the scene before me on a Rock. Yeah, I know I’m Nuts.
I left it across the street from the Elks Club in the rocks where the Hotel has a sitting area.
I didn’t know my Son was going to bring his friends to the Elks Club to reserve it for their Wedding next year. I posted the Rock I sketched on here on GMG about 11am. I got a phone call at 2:30pm from my son Paul the III telling me they found it. They thought my Son set it up, but he had no idea what I did that morning and I had no idea what he was going to do that day. (Strange ain’t it?) after they reserved the Elks club they walked down the road to where I left the “Art Rock”
Here is the email my son sent me;
I let one loose today! I mean an “Art, Rock!”
Down at the State Fish Pier at 11:45am.
I think it will take awhile to find because it’s cold and windy, not too many people walking around.
Here are two photo clues.

Tonights Art Rock!
To Whom it may concern;
Looks like it will be a “LOOPY” Night on the Gloucester Waterfront tonight due to the Massive storm heading away from us. Thank God Ed Collard will be on Storm Watch Duty Tonight for GMG.
There are only Photos for Clues for this “Special Edition Hurricane Earl” Art Rock.

A few hours after Sketching, Dropping and Posting My latest “Art Rock” Sunday, I received this email from the Serrin Family.
“As soon as we saw the post we rushed right over there. So excited to finally find one! We are big fans of GMG. Little Jack Serrin loves his new toy.” 🙂 The Serrin Family

Here’s Little Jack Serrin with his new Toy

Thanks to the Serrins for the Kind Words.
