NIAZ DORRY DEMONSTRATES HOW TO CLEAN SQUID AT THE ROCKPORT HARVESTFEST
Niaz Dorry from NAMA gave the audience at the Rockport Harvesfest seafood throwdown a stellar demonstrationĀ on how to clean squid.Ā I can’t post all theĀ Instagrams here on GMG but you can go to my Instagram page toĀ seeĀ the series.
https://instagram.com/p/89Efh7jysr/
Squid is very easy to clean and to cook and I love toĀ order it out too. One of our favorite Gloucester restaurants for calamariĀ is theĀ Cape Ann Brew Pub, where it is always fried to crisp perfection and never rubbery from overcooking. Where ever IĀ haveĀ tried squid in Rhode Island, they almost alwaysĀ serve it with bright yellow banana peppers. Does anyone know if any of our local restaurants serve squid with banana peppers?
Niaz Dorry is the director of the Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance. She lives in Gloucester with her dog Hailey. YouĀ can read more about her work with NAMA and why Time Magazine named her “Hero for the Planet” on the organization’s website here.

Beyond Measure initial screening
Hi Joey!
Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is one of approximately 20 educational institutions in the country offering this initial screening of Beyond Measure: Rescuing an Overscheduled, Overtested, Underestimated Generation from the director of critically acclaimed Race to Nowhere, Vicki Abeles. The screening is FREE Thursday, October 22 @ 7pm.
All are welcome to witness a positive picture of whatās possible in American education when communities decide theyāre ready for change. I was on a conference call with Vicki yesterday and I think she hit it out of the park again. Time Magazine is currently working on a feature piece of this movie. Interviews with internationally-known leaders in education, child development, creativity, motivation and academic equity are supported by real life examples of whatās working for schools all over the country. Change can be driven from the ground up. This important movie shows us how.

If you would share this with your readers it may be of some real benefit.
Thanks!
