Chickity Check It! GoodMorningGloucester In The Media

Here’s coverage of our coverage-

Who else wants to see a bunch of broads rolling around on skates at high speed trying to take each other’s heads off?

Besides me that is, lol.

Dames interviewed on GoodMorningGloucester

Sure there was other press there. Sure they had fancier cameras with big huge ginormous lenses and fancy flash set ups. Ya think they got the in depth personal interviews that we did?

Hell no. These shmoes are content taking pictures from 50 feet while we get up close and personal for the personal side of things.

Maybe they take nicer pictures from a thousand feet away but I’ll tell you what. I’ll take my video and interviewing skills and put them up against anyone. So go ahead all you photographers out there, stay back at a safe distance while we here at GMG get you inside the action down on the floor and in the subjects grill.

That’s what I’m talkin ’bout sucka!

Ask Fevah, she’ll tell ya who got the scoop!

I’m thinking today is going to be the day!

I’m thinking today is going to be the day we bust through 300,000 hits.  I wonder who it is going to be to click through and be the 300,000th.

Would You Look At That!

I just noticed that with  just under 2300 hits from now GoodMorningGloucester will have reached 300,000 hits.  That’s not to shabby for a little blog that was started right around New Years Day last year.

Considering the first couple months it only generated about 20-50 hits a day, GMG has grown steadily and we haven’t looked back since.

Thanks to everyone who has subscribed, bookmarked, made this community a more positive place to be and laughed with us along the way.

Without your comments and support the energy to continue would surely have waned.   Thank you, thank you thank you, for sharing your mornings, days and evenings with me.

“City’s Spirit Shines At Benefit”- Editorial From The GDT

GGAP II Audience

We did good!

From the Gloucester Daily Times-

In a program ripe with artists capturing Gloucester’s character, the city’s spirit shone as bright as ever.

Snowed out two weeks earlier, the fund-raiser to aid the children of Patriot fishing boat Captain Matteo Russo drew a near full house Sunday afternoon to the Gloucester Stage Co, theater, where lobster broker and “Good Morning Gloucester” blogger Joe Ciaramitaro teamed up with Cape Ann Cinema coordinator Rob Newton to raise more than $2,200 for the cause.

But the success of the event extended beyond the numbers, and even beyond the fact that it was for a good cause.

Chickity Check It!- Sharon Lowe’s New Family Activity Blog

Flapping like a Haddock is a new blog for Cape Ann families. If you’re looking for activities and ideas to keep your child from “flapping like a haddock” this winter (and beyond), you’ll probably find it here. As a preschool teacher/director/parent/grandparent, I know how hard it can be staying sane when the colder weather hits. We can share our experiences, vent, and brainstorm. We also can keep up to date on the happenings on the Cape . Share this blog with other parents and caregivers, and we’ll have some fun!”

Chickity Check It- Fishing With Susie Blog

Well she’s gone and done it.  I’ve been telling Susie to start her own blog because of all the people I know, Susie has a story to tell, and drama follows her around like baby duckings to their mother.  Check it out, she promises to update it regualrly- FishingWithSusie

The Fashion Spot

On a message board called The Fashion Spot one of the members found the pictures of Cintia Dicker and the boys down here at the dock from our Summer Photo shoot with the Victoria’s Secret model.  You can check out what they had to say by clicking the highlighted text above.

It would have been nice if the original poster hyperlinked back to GMG but at least they referenced us and didn’t crop out my watermark like some others do.

For anyone that is interested in more from the Cintia Dicker Shoot you can clcik this text to see alll the related posts we did from it.

Chickity Check It! Miz Lia’s Blog & Flickr Page

Miz Lia has her own blog with photos taken always from a fresh funky perspective.  She proves the theory that you don’t necessarily need a $1000 camera to put together some interesting visually stunning photography.    Watch out world because once she does get herself a big girl camera she’s gonna be even more dangerous.

Last night she posted some pics from the First Ever Gloucester-Guerilla Art Project (G-GAP) on her site MizLia.  You can also check out her Flickr Site here-MizLia’s Flickr

Great Time and Thank Yous

Last Night’s First Ever Gloucester Guerilla Art Project was a fantastic event.  There were many faces of the Gloucester Blogging community represented along with friends of GMG and other nortable folks.

I’d like to thank Robert Newton who provided the venue Cape Ann Community Cinema (and I think I forgot to thank publicly last night).  I’d also like to thank all the presenters- Jay Albert from Cape Ann Images, Mark Teiwes who shoots for the Beacon and hosts some of his work at www.MarkTeiwes.com, Chad Carlberg and Emile Doucette along with the rest of the team from www.baitandtackle.biz . Also thanks go out to Kat Valentine from Valentine Design who put Jay Albert’s slide show together and also was of great technical assistance.  If you haven’t already checked out their sites I highly suggest you do.

I’m looking forward to collaborating with these guys in the future to bring even more fun community media presentations to you fine folks.

It was nice to see fellow bloggers Jon Conant, John Hintlian, Miz Lia and Steve B.  Thanks for the support guys.  Also thanks go out to one of my best buddies “The Rabbit”  who took over GMG photo duties so I could meet folks without the encumbrances of the camera(pics coming later) or you could check out Miz Lia’s Blog for a few to hold you over til the Rabbit gets his ass out of bed today.

Thanks also go to Enrico Pallazzo and his lovely wife Kim for showing the love last night along with Damon and Ann Malloy of Neptune’s Harvest Fame (who I got to meet officially last night), Big Daddy Phil Doucette, Kenny and Paula Ryan, Dad’s cousin Gail Guittar, Jay’s family, Sharon Lowe, the fans of GMG, and the other people that I’m suddenly forgetting but showed up including the lovely lady that told me earlier in the week down the dock that she was going to show up and she did with her friend but her name escapes me.

Thanks to anyone else that came but I’m forgetting or didn’t get to meet.

Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I promise we will continue to do these and add more contibutors in the future.  I’d like to have John Hintlian, Sharon Lowe and Steve B participate in the next one (start putting your stuff together).

Ahhhhhhhh, feels good!
