Trivia Night and Silent Auction benefiting the CORE Peer Recovery & Resource Center

Come join us for a fun night of trivia, dinner, cocktails, and a silent auction!

The CCB Foundation presents Cory’s Trivia Night & Silent Auction. The event will take place on Friday, October 28th at the Gloucester Elks. This year we are thrilled to announce that we are in the process of opening the CORE Peer Recovery and Resource Center located in Gloucester.  All funds raised this year will go directly to enhancing program offerings at the CORE.

   -Single Ticket: online $50 per person  ($60 at the door)  – Kids $30
   -Full Table – 10 Tickets: $500

Dinner and participation in trivia is included in the ticket price. In addition, there will be a cash bar, silent auction, and raffles

If you would like to reserve a table for a group of 10 people that have purchased a ticket, please send your request to Theresa at tah0920@gmail.com and include the names of the 10 people.

Thursday at the Rhummie: the fabulous tag team of Tony and Sam Goddess. Often known as the Goddesses, it’s always a blast to play with these well-rehearsed practitioners of aural s*** and transcendental medication. Plus it’s a pretty groovey band featuring Mr. John Cameron on the keys, the cackling drummer Mr. Steve Chaggaris, and myself, of course. Yes! i’m back…and I’m beautiful….hope to see you there. hours 7 to 10.

The Steve Connolly Seafood Company closed its Gloucester site January 1, 2022. What’s next for 431 Main Street? I hope the iconic lobster at the wheel signs were acquired by Cape Ann Museum. Love those signs!

Vietnam War Memorial Progress

Progress is being made at the new location for the Gloucester Vietnam War Memorial and I think it’s going to be stunning. Previously located at the high school, the memorial was recently relocated to Stage Fort Park near the tennis courts. Work picked up again recently with new sidewalks and other progress. I haven’t heard an expected completion date, but it appears the area is going to allow for appropriate reflection and remembrance.
