My Musical Guest: SAL BAGLIO!
The unbelievable, one and only Sal Baglio (of Stompers fame)
comes to the Rhumb Line this week as my oh-so special guest.
Y’wanna talk about positive energy? Well, I’ve always said, this
guy rocks your skull off. He’s been all over the world doin’ his
incredible thing, and we just happen to be lucky enough to have
him here on our tiny little island. Rumor has it that longtime friend
and musical soulmate, Allen Estes may join the evening’s “Flystivities”
(Sal’s word). This doesn’t happen very often (in fact, it’s a first), so
don’t even think of doing anything silly like staying home and watching
something on TV that you can otherwise record and watch at a later
date. This is frickin’ SAL BAGLIO! OKAY? OKAY. ~ Fly

With no hockey on the calendar for a couple of days before another tournament is upon us, I decided to sneak away with Finn for some skiing, ice fishing, and Ice Castles. It was definitely cold and snowy….with a decent sized storm coming down while we were driving across the Kancamagus Highway, but we had a great time nonetheless. Our guides, Clay and Vinnie, from Fish Nerds Guide Service were awesome! We’ll definitely be booking another trip when it gets a little warmer out.
Last Sunday, the Boss Joey C gave us a day off from our normal podcast schedule and we were finally able to go to the Feather & Wedge in Rockport for brunch. We made our reservation online from the restaurant website which made it super easy and convenient. There was a steady flow of customers and all seemed as happy as we were with our food and service. Feather & Wedge for brunch seems like an especially good idea for a special occasion. GMG Jimmy made his own Bloody Mary to go with his steak and eggs. My grapefruit mimosa is now my preferred grapefruit intake method!

(February 18, 2020) Gloucester, MA – – THE OPEN DOOR, a local nonprofit dedicated to alleviating food insecurity in the community, launches a $1.7M capital campaign to acquire the adjacent property 26 Emerson Avenue to expand its operations and build a new state-of-the-art commercial production kitchen.
The Open Door’s expansion project will add cold and dry storage, enhance client service areas, increase transportation capacity, and improve the living environment for Cape Ann’s low and moderate-income populations. This critical effort, the culmination of a 5-year strategic plan, will increase The Open Door’s capacity to distribute more nutritious food, develop greater opportunities for community engagement, and provide long-term solutions to hunger throughout the Region.
“We are thrilled to share the news of our kitchen expansion capital campaign,” said Kersten Lanes, Chair of The Open Door Board of Directors. “Our kitchen is the heart of everything we do at…
