What’s New at Action Inc.
Mark Adrian Shoes fits shelter guests with new shoes
Guests of the Action Inc. shelter were fitted with brand new shoes this month, thanks to the generosity of Mark Adrian store owner Adam Farber and shoe company NAOT. Along with securing a donation from NAOT of 100 pairs of new shoes, Adam and his team also collected gently-worn shoes at their store in downtown Gloucester. Each guest was then personally fitted by Mark Adrian staff at an event held at the Action Inc. main office.

The “Other Gloucester’s” Tall Ship Festival is Happening This Weekend
Back when Jamie McDonald, “Adventureman”, and his crew were in Gloucester for the epic finish of his US Super Run, we had dinner together a few times and found ourselves discussing the similarities and differences of our two Gloucesters. We have the Greasy Pole and they have their Cheese Wheel Rolling….both are pretty peculiar to outsiders. We are located on historic Gloucester Harbor…the country’s oldest fishing port and they are located on the Severn’s River…and are one of England’s most inland ports.
Another fun similarity is that we both have Tall Ship Festivals. Our is Labor Day weekend (read all about it HERE) and theirs is happening in a few days!
You can read all about theirs HERE!
Last Stop Now Open Under New Management
The new Last Stop is open for business and looking good! None of the staff was willing to be included in the pictures, but it really is staffed with some very nice people. They will strive to offer healthful food and snacks. I also noted a few beach supplies available in an appropriately named Last Stop on the way to sand and surf.
