Here is a digital who’s who catalogue with portraits of the participating artists and scenes from the inaugural Cape Ann Art Show at the Beauport Hotel Gloucester, MA. The art fair and the hotel were jumping on this gorgeous evening. Original works of art (not reproductions) were priced under $100 and up from there. The artists and the hotel were so well prepared and joyous, I was compelled to record their effort. Apologies if I missed anyone. I jotted down contact information and linked to artists when possible.

Sam brought a few works and said the sails of the Tall Ships were his biggest challenge. His studio is over by Cape Pond Ice. (I hope that Parisi’s distinct painted oars can be brought together for an exhibition at Cape Ann Museum. I’ve been photographing them.)

This gallery brought paintings by artists Mark Shasta, Paul Frontiero, and Betty Lou Schlemm. The light within Beauport Hotel was gorgeous!

I caught Bonnie off guard and then she was busy with visitors and fellow artists–like here with Chaya O’Grady (red)

So I’ve added a couple of photos of her booth to compensate for my portrait miss! (Bonnie is completing work for The Tree in Dock Square, the award winning Cape Ann Reads children’s book by Jean Woodbury and illustrated by Bonnie.)

How nice to meet all the artists and put a face to their work which I’ve seen in shows over the years. I saw William’s work at Lone Gull in February. This oil is “Marine #2”

Catherine, on behalf of the Beauport Hotel Gloucester, thank you for providing coverage of this event. It’s amazing that you took the time and effort to photograph all of these local artists and compile them in such a way. Wow! Much appreciated and I am sure the artists love it, too.
