United States Military Offering Integrative Therapies as Adjunctive (Supportive) Therapies for Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. (PTSD.)
Reiki has been offered at U.S. Military Bases and Hospitals as far back as 2005 through Integrative Therapy programs including at:
- Fort Bliss
- Fort Hood
- Walter Reed Hospital
Use of Complementary Therapies and the Military â more information can be found at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Center for Integrative Health (NCCIH.) Integrative healthcare (IH) combine conventional therapies with supportive complementary therapies that have been studied and known to be safe and at least minimally effective and do no harm. The goal of IH is to provide âbest outcomesâ and higher patient satisfactions.
