  1. We have been vacationing in Gloucester since 2006 and it’s where my husband wants to retire to in a few years. It was so frustrating to not have Verizon service on Main Street, when a Verizon store is there selling its products! Did it actually make profits?
We are SO happy that a tower is going up! That just sealed the deal for us to come to the nicest town in MA., Gloucester !!

  2. The Verizon store on Main Street closed a while ago; maybe two years ago.

When it was open, I asked the owner about this, and he said that they had to install a huge antenna and an amplifier in order to get service inside the store.

There is now another Verizon store in the Gloucester Crossing mall, but it has different owners.
