  1. the fleet of sailboats heading out toward Ipswich Bay, in front of the club to the left, appear to be Alden Triangle Class sloops, 28.5′ long and tons of fun to sail, built in Marblehead to a design of John Alden, who also designed many schooner yachts, and in whose office S.S. Crocker, of Manchester, worked before going out on his own. I owned and sailed one in the 80’s, that now lives in europe…
