Sharon St Clair King and Chuck King are in the gallery for their annual Cape Ann fix. Sharon is frequently on my Facebook Page, and also on Good Morning Gloucester. They’re holding an awesome dessert from Passports. (FOG is Friend of the Gallery, and FOB is friend of the Blog).
They’re picking up this 1884 Cape Ann map tomorrow to take home to Florida. They’ll be the only ones in 32162 to have it. The snow birds from 01930 will be envious!

Boston Public Library has some interesting old maps of Cape Ann.
Check out their website for collection of maps.
It is always exciting to arrive in Gloucester and sad to leave. We arrived for the Schooner Festival and enjoyed a sail on the Roseway and a lobster at the Lobster Bake. Gloucester is so rich in music, art, good food and natural beauty. And of course the friendly people! We had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with several GMG folks among others. You are the best! After a whirlwind week we are headed back to Florida until next time, still talking about the fun we had. Fred, thank you for the beautiful map of Cape Ann to be hung in our Glosta room. We will continue to keep up with the goings on through the GMG blog until we return. Our best wishes to you all!
