Nose in a Wheelbarrow ~ HighLine, NYC
I didn’t intend to create a theme about noses, but took this snapshot while visiting my daughter in NYC and couldn’t resist sharing.
Update: Read More About “Nose Job,” by New York-based artist Andra Ursuta’s, and the sculpture exhibit “Busted,” at the HighLine, from now through April 2014, at the HighLine website here.

I guess if you notice some huge statue with a part missing, you’ll know where it is! I wonder where the nose was going to be planted.

Odd, I never saw a wheelbarrow like that before.

The nose in a wheelbarrow is part of a group sculpture titled “Busted,” on view at the HighLine from now through April 14th, 2014. “Andra Ursuta makes light of classical sculpture in her contribution, “Nose Job” (below), which consists of a giant marble nose that appears to have broken off of a monumental sculpture sitting in a wheelbarrow. Installed inconspicuously at the edge of a sparse stretch of the elevated park, you could easily take it for a bit of forgotten grounds maintenance.” from the blog Blouinartinfo.

Cool, but what’s up with the nose theme. Nosey to know what nose you’ll come up with next.

LOL EJ–No theme, the back-to-back nose postings are just serendipitous.
