  1. Will these girls see this? I feel a bit off-set on judging/ranking these cute little kids. You know, the “Am I pretty enough” “I tried to look my best but lost” vibe…that we know all little girls go through. Not to rain on it, because they are cute, but the whole numbers thing. It feels like a gate-way toddlers n tiaras, beauty pageant, “I’m about to have body issues” problem. Great photos, and great kids either way. (no fellas? did they wear football jerseys that day?) (and no I’m not the PC police by any means.)

    1. Totally agree with Craig here. This post is cringe worthy. Need to think it out better next year or maybe not do it at all.

  2. The best dressed “Easter Outfits” in this post were the girls in photos 3 and 4, in my opinion, based solely on the “Easter Outfits”. But the few boys who came into my gallery were very young, and not costumed for Easter. I wonder what a young boy could wear for an Easter themed event? Not a bonnet, and the alternative is rabbit ears? Please. I think I would have voted for a young (10 years old) little boy who came into my gallery with his mom, who had sparkles in this eyes. He responded to everything I said or did was “Thank You!” He must have said that, unsolicited, about 10 times in the few minutes they were here. He would get my vote if he were on the Poll. I think we should have a separate category for “Best Dressed Boys” too. Craig, I agree. A beauty contest is not good for the little girls, and also excludes the boys. In Gloucester, Easter is a major religious event. The retailers on Main Street made an effort, and next year I hope it should be better.

    1. I also agree, like I put on the post, all are winners.. The retailers were the ones to ask us to post the poll and I totally agree about this whole thing.. There were no boys coming into Life is Good or Kids Unlimited. Next year all the stores should have someone just taking pictures. Will talk to Julie about this. Thank you for the post, for girls especially the self esteem issue.

      1. Not about you, your photos, or your post Donna. Just about the way the event itself panned out. It could be better.

  3. Agreed, it’s all good. I think they are all perfect little beings, and of course the doggie is super cute as well. And of course, great work with the photos, really nice.

  4. Yeah, I hate to see this kind of competition. Glad to hear you feel the same way. We can all learn from one another and it has nothing to do with the PC , it’s just common sense.
