Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe will present its final production of the season, the comedy "I Hate Hamlet" written by Paul Rudnick and directed by Ray Jenness. The story involves a television actor, Andrew Rally, who has been offered the part of Hamlet with the Shakespeare In The Park company. At once attracted to the challenge and at the same time afraid of it, he is encouraged by his girlfriend to take it on. A real estate agent finds him an apartment in New York once occupied byJohn Barrymore, famous for his Hamlet in the mid twentieth century. When Barrymore’s ghost is summoned at a seance, he returns to coach Rally in the role. Rally, however, is more conflicted about playing Hamlet after being offered an easy well-paying TV role. Pulled in one direction by Barrymore and his girlfriend and in the other by fear and greed, he faces some tough choices with comic results. The cast includes Beth Bevins, Evie Gariepy, David McCaleb, Beebe Nelson, Craig Owen, and Nick Neyeloff
