DO YOU REMEMBER?!
I remember when I was young Bar hopping. Jon Butcher Axis was a hard ticket to come by. David “Doc” Vincent has informed me that Jon now lives in Gloucester. Say Hi and thank him for the music he created when we “i” were young. the late 70’s and early 80’s was a great time for local music. Jon’s Band {Jon Butcher Axis}, The Megawatt Blue Crushers with Doc Vincent, The Fool’s with Doug Foreman, and the Nervous Eaters were my favorites. do a search on youtube for your favorites and Enjoy!

Paul, Did you ever see a band called The Atlantics–just curious, and I will tell you why if so.

The Boston bands you mentioned were playing around town at the same time as my husband’s band, The Atlantics—“Lonelyhearts” was one of their hits. This was around 1976-1982. They toured with Roxy Music and headlined with the Ramones. I never saw his first band play live—I didn’t know him at the time and he’s a bit older than I—and because he was in-between bands when I met him. Was just curious to know if you had seen them play live.

Boby played only for a year–their first year, 1976-77 (so reports my husband, Tom).

That’s wonderful Kitty! They re-released many of their hits in the last year or so and it is selling steadily on iTunes, at Newbury Comics, etc. I’ll let Tom know-thank you!
