In E.J.’s Kitchen

  1. The large skillet on the right was made by the Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, PA. They made quality cast iron cookware from 1865 until 1957, which was sold around the world. The one in EJ’s kitchen has a large cross in a circle stamped on the back, making it a collectable. Cast iron is practically indestructible, and can be passed down through generations. I still have my grandmother’s big skillet, and remember her frying fluke, flounder, and other fish that my grandfather and I caught in the Great South Bay off Long Island, New York.
