Nice shots Kathy! Did you use high iso and a faster shutter, low iso and slow shutter or some kind of combination? What do you do with your aperture in low light? I try to keep mine middle of the road (8ish) unless I’m taking a really long exposure.

Thanks for the nod. Had a lot of fun in manual mode last night…it was a very dark…
Most of the jail and graveyard shots: 1000 iso, wide open aperture, and 2 second (hand-held) exposures with a Nikon image stabilization lens (need to lean against something). Make sure everything has sharp focus, because the depth-of-field is narrow.
The portraits with close flashlight were shot with the same iso (I was moving fast) changing to F22-29. The available light close-ups were around 1/4 sec. wide open. Easy with a good lens.

No Tripod on a 2 second exposure is really hard to pull off with any kind of clarity for me. I definitely need a tripod.

Great shots! I would definately like to tour the castle- but not until those creepy characters are gone! I’m a scaredy cat!
