Quite An Honor- Thanks Sally Goldenbaum

Sally Goldenbaum a national bestselling author was kind enough to write in a little blurb in the acknowledgements about Good Morning Gloucester.  She writes inside the front cover of her new book “Moon Spinners “Joey Ciaramitaro and his Good Morning Gloucester blog, a daily feed which provides grist for my writing mill and keeps me in touch with life on Cape Ann.”

Pretty cool!  and she even spelled my last name right!

As an aside.  I know that you’re not supposed to start a sentence with and, but that’s the way it came out when I was thinking it and I feel like when I write I’m having a conversation with you, my reader.  So all the spelling and grammar nazis can all go to hell.  Thanks a bunch Sally!

  1. Joey, I think that is wonderful that she also likes your blogs. And for her to comment to you about them,is cool. I bet you write like you are carrying on a conversation. I was told years ago, when I write I am actually doing that. And I still do.. My teachers finally gave up and said I was a story teller waiting to happen. I can not wait to read her book. Linda

  2. Joey–you are absolutely the best! Thanks for mentioning the Seaside Knitters mysteries on your blog. Your photos, the ones your readers send in, the wonderful tales of street parties and farmers’ markets and new stores–(and snippets of your beautiful little girls growing up!) are all the things that help me absorb life on Cape Ann and make writing these mysteries set there possible (the first one, Death by Cashmere, even has an ‘unfortunate’ event take place on the great Gloucester breakwater.) So thank you, thank you. And thanks to all your readers and contributors, too.
I look forward to meeting you in person!

  3. Sally, Maybe your next book should include a blogging lobster dealer. Then again, who would believe that?? I’m halfway through Moon Spinners and am enjoying all the Cape Ann references.

    1. A lobster dealer blogger? Now you’re talking some serious fantasy. Might be a better project for Patrick Doud and his genre. Which includes things like ogres and trolls and other mythical creatures.
