We got mac and cheese for the girls at just over $2 each. An order of fried clams to split between the mrs and I, and I also got a chilli dog.

Holy Cow (or clams!) those look delicious! I have to say that fried clams are one of my favorite things ever………..with good tartar sauce (not the stuff in the little packages–ick) and a little salt. Perfection.

I have not had my fried clam fix from Top Dog yet but your photo is putting me over the edge. I hear the Cupboard with onion rings is open too so I really need to get going.
You went to Bearskin Neck on Saturday? I drove through Dock Square at noon and it was a zoo full of touristas.
ps. I don’t think the tag “besrskin Neck” is going to be a great search term unless I write an article on the long lost besrskin of Rockport. I’ll keep it PG.

Hey Joey, are the clam flats open on Cape Ann?
I know they were closed following all the rain.
Ms Lufkin, I agree, the tartar sauce can make or
break a fried clam box. Little packages..ick is
true, but hand mixed with good mayo, capers, dill,
sometimes some chopped shaved fresh carrots or even just dill pickles, chopped. Nice thick tartar..
that can boost a good fried clam to 5 star fried clam. Captain Vito’s used to have the best tartar sauce and great Fried Clams.
