Hello Capt Joe,
I get the impression that a lot of people in town see your website- I think it’s pretty cool. Any chance you would be interested in a posting about the Fort Rezoning hearing on Sept 15th? The entire neighborhood is very upset and concerned and we are seeking support from other citizens to try and convince the city to at least study the issue further- the effort on our part is being called “Hold the Fort!”-

As far as “Holding The Fort” goes, I’m curious as to what that means? Would you like zero change and for things to stay the same as they are?
Do you want to make sure the waterfront businesses in the fort that are operating at odd hours and make loud noises from their businesses would be protected from a new residential zoning that would empower the residents that were formerly living in a Marine Industrial Zone but would be placed in a newly created Residential Zone and then give them a right to shut down or hamper the marine industrial activity that is happening on the waterfront there now?
Are you trying to hold the line on the low tax rates that Fort residents enjoy by being in a marine industrial zone but having waterfront views and access and non-conforming residential housing within a marine industrial zone?
I’d love to know more about the “Hold The Fort” movement.
