Last Sunday while driving around the Back Shore I decided to stop at the Elks club Parking lot and Sketch the scene before me on a Rock. Yeah, I know I’m Nuts.
I left it across the street from the Elks Club in the rocks where the Hotel has a sitting area.
I didn’t know my Son was going to bring his friends to the Elks Club to reserve it for their Wedding next year. I posted the Rock I sketched on here on GMG about 11am. I got a phone call at 2:30pm from my son Paul the III telling me they found it. They thought my Son set it up, but he had no idea what I did that morning and I had no idea what he was going to do that day. (Strange ain’t it?) after they reserved the Elks club they walked down the road to where I left the “Art Rock”
Here is the email my son sent me;

They’re $15 each, and if you need it mailed to you or somewhere else, shipping costs are pretty low.
If you prefer, you can buy the refill for $12 each and re-use the case from last year.
PayPal and credit cards are accepted or you can pay by check.
Thanks!  —-Sharon

All the News Stations came to Gloucester to report on the drowning at Braces Cove.Â
This is about the coverage. Channel 4, 5 and 7 were all at Good Harbor Beach reporting.Â
I captured WBZ reporting on video.Â
My heart goes out to the family who lost a loved one today.Â

Hi Joey,
Greetings from the two residents of Worcester who consider Gloucester our home away from home. Wista and Glosta share some defining, essential characteristics. Both are hard working communities, populated with real people who are proud of their heritages and willing to struggle for their futures.
It was very nice meeting you yesterday. The three lobsters were delicious and the GMG sticker was a fitting dessert.
As promised, here are some names to go with the pic you snapped of us yesterday while we were literally “holding the bag”: Rich & Hollis Laprade
For what it’s worth, attached are some pictures we took at Good Harbor this morning at sunrise. The light was changing by the second, so the atmosphere was unbelievably dynamic. Couple that with an astronomically low tide and the place was magic this morning.

As we sit at Good Harbor Beach in this 90 degree weather, we can also enjoy the house on the rocks, at 24 Bass Rocks Road.
The house is on the Trail of Thai Royalty and has been photographed for over a hundred years, see photo from 1889 below, courtesy of Amy Shapiro.
It was used as the Summer Home of the Siamese Legation
Also enjoy current photographs.
