My View of Life on the Dock

Sharon dropped off one of her beautiful calendars for me and I have to tell you they are just the perfect gift. The images look like paintings, the kind of painting where they make everything just right. $15 and the just right for mailing out as a gift. It’s a no-brainer for anyone you know who loves our area.

Cape Ann Symphony Christmas Tree Silent Auction, originally uploaded by captjoe06.
The trees show off some highly inventive finery: tiny lights wrapped in white silk roses from Sage Floral Studio; beautiful signature glass lighthouses from concert sponsor Cape Ann Savings Bank; a bounty of holiday goodies, including gift-card filled stockings, from Stop and Shop; a vision of the best fresh eating with a tree of fruits and veggies from Willow Rest/Utopia Farm (including a $50 gift certificate); and a promise of more superb eating from Duckworth’s Beach Gourmet with a certificate for a five course dinner for six from the store, valued at $700! And there are MANY more, twenty total!!
Keep tabs on your bid
Come and see them all and put in your bids on your favorites. Then keep tabs on them to be sure you have the winning bid, until the Auction closes on December 5, back at 137 Main St.!

People comment how they love how The Bean and Snoop Maddie Mad always have a bow in their hair. Well it’s difficult to find bows around here.
We usually buy a ton of them down in Naples because there are a couple of shops that have them. Well my sister Felicia being the ridiculously creative person that she is can produce just about anything in the kitchen or anything to do with sewing. She doesn’t use recipes and she doesn’t follow paterns- she just is gifted that way. I know she got it from our grandmother Felicia and partly from my mother..
Well Janice Lufkin Shea will be carrying Felicia’s bows at The Cormorant Shop. So stop on down and pick some up for the little girls in your life. they make perfect stocking stuffers.

My advice? Get down there and bid! You might just steal something. The Live Auction sounds like a blast as well-

Dear Friends & Sea Glass Fans!
I hope you will join me for some fabulous Holiday shows coming up in the next month. Each is unique. The Sleigh Bell Show provides a wide assortment of Holiday gifts with 25% of sales going to support the Wenham Museum. This is my 3rd season displaying my work at this venue. I can’t wait to share some of my new earrings and pendants and of course, the ever growing collection of hair accessories! And of course, I will have the 2010 Sea Glass Calendars available at both shows! See you there! Jacqueline
“Find one-of-a-kind gifts crafted by the North Shore’s best artisans as you enjoy holiday entertainment. Share the spirit of giving by bringing an unwrapped toy to donate to the 14th Annual Toy Drive sponsored by Senator Bruce Tarr and Northshore 104.9 radio. ”
As we get closer to the holidays, you can enjoy the 3rd Annual seARTS Wearable Arts Show & Sale! For the second year, we will be hosted by the Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester on the second floor of the newly renovated Saunders House. We will support the Library through our raffle and the display is ready NOW for you to see. Raffle tickets are only $2 or 3 for $5. The show itself features 14 artists who make “wearable art” – jewelry, scarves, jackets, and more. Each artist is wonderfully unique in their approach. |
