The Rum Runners are a rising star North Shore-based string band that play a mix of gypsy jazz, folk, Americana, old time country, and fiddle tunes along with some original songs. The Rum Runners are: Joe Wilkins on guitar and vocals, Joe Kessler on fiddle/mandolin and Luke Conlin on standup bass.  The band’s founder, Joe Wilkins, is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, studio musician and music instructor.

Sunset Over Cape Hedge Beach

I mean, really.  The sunsets that happen over our Cape are breathtaking.  I love to drive from the rotary towards the Annisquam, past Plum Cove Beach, Lanes Cove, the Lobster Pool, Halibut Point, Pigeon Cove, Granite Pier, Back Beach, Cape Hedge Beach, Good Harbor Beach, and Niles.  It is impossible, I think, to do them all in one trip…but I like to see several each evening….or sit and savor just one.

Light Painting Fun

I have been experimenting with light painting, which is basically long exposure photography. I thought you might like some of the images I’ve gotten so far, including GMG Jim on his trumpet and a special Weber grill treatment for our grilling friends.

Our House Is 100% Electric. We’ve been cranking our AC.  We actually have a National Grid Electric Bill Credit!

You’ve ridden out the stock market and can’t believe it’s as high as it is with a global pandemic going on and you have a chance to lock in those gains and actually set yourself up for the future by either not having to pay for Electric through your retirement or having your electric bill greatly reduced.  Take some of those market gains off and secure your future against skyrocketing electricity costs.  Imagine how great a feeling that will be as your friends are complaining about $500-$800 electricity bill in the winter and you’re kicking back without a bill!

I’m not sure how much more I could boil it down but here’s the latest bill (National Grid OWES US MONEY!)-
