Do we really consider ourselves a fishing community if we don’t dredge the river so our fishermen can safely navigate?
Please and thank you.
6:00AM by the train bridge and there’s still 45 minutes of tide to go.

You are so correct Joey. As a newcomer to Gloucester and yet very aware of this problem for all my years on Cape Cod and Pleasant Bay, we have (our federal and state governments have a responsibility to keeping our highways safe and sound and thus our waterways. The Annisquam is truly a highway for all those who navigate our waters. Hopefully, this grounding won’t be expensive for the Captain, but what a nuisance and safety issue. Hopefully, Governor Baker can do something about this immediately.
