Hi Joey,
Thank you so much for Good Morning Gloucester. I love it and I love Gloucester! My BFF lives in Gloucester and introduced me to GMG on one of my yearly (almost) visits to her locale. You guys are so lucky. I would give my eye teeth to be able to afford to live in New England. I’m so grateful to you and all your contributors who make GMG so special and enables me to keep in touch with the area. Kudos, in particular, to Kim Smith and her story of Hedwig, which I follow closely every day. What a beautiful bird!
Good job guys!!

Terri, I’d give my eye teeth to be able to afford to live in Hawaii again! How can you think NE is more expensive? Maybe we can arrange a house swap!

Because IT IS more expensive, Beverly, I’m sorry to say. Believe me, I’ve researched, because I love the area and would love to live there – even with the awful weather – because there is so much history and art there, but I can’t find a single home (not even a small condominium) in your area for under $300,000+, which is not the case in Hawaii. I bought my small (less than 600 sq.ft.) condo here for only $165,000, and even though now it is worth triple that, there is nothing in that price range on Cape Ann. What do your young people do? Is the American dream of their own home impossible for them?

Thank you so very much for your lovely note Terii, we all put so much of ourselves into our contributions and it is gratifying to know they are read and appreciated.
Hawaii ⤠–that is a place I plan to visit and explore someday, and not just because you have white Monarchs š
