Great catch here Joey!! Thanks Out looking around for opportunity sniffing the tracks left behind and scanning around the bush. They gave very keen hearing and smell.
Ah memory lane for me! 🙂
I remember while active duty days how quickly we could secure building safely, and cover more area checks with Security Forces Now or Security Police until 1996-97 time frame (K9) that were found unsecured during building checks areas housing $$$ equipment and real property (mobile mission) performed at the end of duty day or over the weekends!
It took me a couple of hours to do this each shift. We did rotate from days-swing-mid-shift! This takes a lot of time as we had lot’s of facilitates for the 5th CMBTCG Group (GA) and many complexes in what we called the south training area dirt roads and woods had a radio and flashlight Maglite then along with a truck that had a spotlight either fixed or plugin, which did help nights light up areas. We did have break-ins and vandals at times and sometimes left unsecured reason for these checks. It was a lonely place in the south training area believe me hair on back of neck – stood tall even with radio take a good 10 – 15 minutes to get some help if needed! 🙂 Dave
