I have often had to break ice from about where you show it in to the floats at Cripple Cove to get breakfast at Zeke’s. However that happens usually later in the winter.

Hopefully not too much more as things get jammed and slowed…Ice cutters/breakers be busy. If I remember correctly Lanes cove was frozen for a couple of weeks in 1960’s but the ice was moving some later hopefully clear soon cape pond ice and other’s may have a bunch or expertise here!! . Dave & Kim

When my Dad was a young man in 1939 Gloucester Harbor froze solid enough for people to drive their cars on. that was cold!
