Fall preparations…

Did everyone else spend their weekend prepping for the impending winter??  Well lucky for me I got to chose whether I wanted to stack wood or go grocery shopping…which, in my defense, are equally hideous tasks!!  I, did however choose to throw myself into the Market Basket melee and was grateful to see that by the time I returned my OCD husband had all the wood neatly stacked and organized by seasoned, kiln dried and kindling.   Bring on the cozy fire weather!

  1. I got a blast out of this post a path I have traveled before myself. I can tell you got it organized very well smaller wood to start the fire and in a dry place away from elements so close to needed. I wish we were as organized (NOT)!! Had to hall it a bit in wheelbarrow then walk it into house or bunkhouse small farm had cast iron Ashley Wood Burning Stove in early 1970’s and is still in use today 2017.

      1. Amen to that and great planning thinking outside the box because did not use the box theory in the first place falling forward I would say!! :-)!! I did the Gloucester daily times on foot close to 100 papers at one time. I was 4.11 then well think you can get the picture carrot top with freckles -and the GDT paper bag burlap type being dragged upon the snow banks sometimes waist deep only on when I the roads were bad and not shoveled out or I took a shortcut which did not save any time :-O. From Kenny’s store in Lanesville to Foley Cove North and south to Plum Cove Court! But it was a challenge with school! But I had a blast anyway! 🙂 Dave
