Source for great details on quarries – pits whatever you wish to call them Granite expert research, history highly recommend typed according to here on old manual type writer some. I knew her as a young lad as she would pick her dog up from our back porch on her way home from job at Gloucester Daily Times. Loved us neighborhood kids come down from home up on high street past the farm heading toward Walker Hancock’s pit/swimming and studio!
