A GoPro Tour of Rockport

After riding our bikes through town on Monday the boys decided that it’d be fun to sport the GoPro and video the same route for some of our friends who are missing home. So, we hopped in the Jeep and the boys took turns strapping on the GoPro.  Clearly not the best footage ever, but if you love living in Rockport, if you are missing Rockport, if you hope to visit Rockport, or if you want friends to come visit you in Rockport….this little child’s eye tour might be the medicine the doctor ordered.

From our driveway on Smith Road, past Old Garden Beach, down Atlantic Avenue, onto T Wharf, through town, down Bearskin Neck, past the new and improved breakwater, back down the Neck, up Main Street, by Front Beach, and landing at Back Beach we present “Rockport: Our Little Town.”

Guest Appearances by Kenny Porter and the Crew at Roy Moore Lobster Co….and one lobster.

  1. Very nice and I like these with the great music from the heart adds icing on the cake of the trip around! I remember when Paul F. Marty, Joey, Kim, Donna, and many other’s from team GMG bring us these treasures – did one of these rides to lanes cove from his location for his rock placement on the Bennie Toki side of the cove 🙂 The route there to up 127 was like google street view in movement 🙂

True story here wanted to share this memory:

Me and mom talked about this one over the weekend she has a sharp memory of the old days for sure too
    !
I remember as a young lad Bennie Toki Lanes Cove regular on the plank Duley street side. When his monthly check would come in he would go to Kenny’s supermarket and buy his cat some liver cook it up he loved his cat stayed in shack up in woods.

Or the time he came up with an idea to sell tourist Atlantic lanes cove seawater to tourist who never seen the ocean high – low tides of 25 cents a bottle at high tide. They came back at low tide and said you sure sold a lot of seawater. Or when they the tourist would say the fastest way to Ipswich he would say go down Duley street to the end, they would say the road ends at the cove and just a break wall he, would say well you have to catch a boat across the bay to Ipswich.

His favorite song he sings was it is not going to rain anymore or I don’t want to set the world on fire I just want to start a flame in your heart. Dressed up in his blues with his white Captains cap and a pint bottle of Petri from Kips in his back pocket he was ready to set sail! 

Thanks I will pass this one on like I do with many 🙂 Dave & Kim 🙂
