  1. Great post Donna the name warrior is so meaningful and there are so many in everyday life too! Partial from a Vet, Police Sgt from out of the book he edited from so many inputs and friends.

“Warriors: On living with Courage, Discipline, and Honor.” Edited By; Loren W. Christensen (2004). Partial only

In the broad interpretation of these definitions, I believe that a warrior is also:

That courageous spouse and older children who wait for the warrior cop or soldier to return home, always with that nagging doubt that this time, this time, he/she might not come home.

A single mom of three who works two jobs but still lives on the poverty line and, though exhausted, fights daily to keep her kids out of street gangs, off drugs, and on the honor roll.

The terminally ill patient who fights to the very end, not just to ward off death, but to ensure that loved ones are comforted, taken care of, and can look forward to a bright future.

      1. It always is as everywhere and everyone all leaves a breath or a piece of themselves when they walk the land!

God Bless them all! You never truly retire once you serve your nation like I said above so many warriors! 🙂
