Thanks Len for the fabulous image. I live in the mountains near Asheville & realized the other day, we don”t get these frost patterns on windows here, I wonder why. Still researching that

Hi Blair. I have old aluminum storm windows that allow moisture from the inside of the house to get to them. The temperature outside needs to get to the low teens or in the single numbers for the crystals to grow nicely. Also the air should be rather calm so the wind doesn’t take away the moisture.
