GLOUCESTER
The good news is that you can complete your shopping for Valentine’s Day right here on Cape Ann. The bad news? You only have eight more days to shop! Yes, you can make dinner reservations, send flowers, and buy chocolates, as most people do. But this year, why not think outside the candy box?

I just want to commend Terry who wrote such a thoughtful article and also diverse points of view on how to recognize those we love. And Joey, you have been a great connecter and supporter! Thanks to you! So good to get that rare, male input on Valentine’s Day…

I like the idea of writing down nice things that your partner does for you throughout the year. Be grateful and appreciative of each other every day of the year. That’s the real key to your Heart.

Hey Jackie, Dave and Cindy, thanks for the comments. For readers who know anyone in a nursing home, Valentine’s Day might be a good day to visit and drop off some cookies and a card. Happy almost-Valentine’s Day!

Thanks Joe Ciaramitaro, the other night my wife asked me what I wanted for Valentine’s Day and I used your quote, “A steak, appreciation and affection.” She was surprised that I had any answer at all, and later that night I saw her looking up steak recipes online. I am wondering if she will look up anything about appreciation or affection…I hope so!
