For safety’s sake, I’m very concerned with navigating snow and ice. A fall could put me back in the hospital or nursing home, places I’d like to avoid. I bought an ice cane attachment at Conley’s Drug Store on Railroad Avenue in Gloucester. It works great! If you hold the two white buttons together, the spikes can be lifted to face up on the cane. I also bought a pair of basic shoe cleats for my boots at Ace Hardware. We’ll see how they work. Another safety option for the snow storm we’re supposed to have is to simply stay home 🙂

That looks a lot better than a ski pole! My Dad used to call the boot studs “creepers” to my kids that has a whole different meaning. Take care Fred.

Be careful Fred! My wife loves you. But she doesn’t want to see you back there. 🙂

My risk assessment team advised me to stay home, rather than open the gallery in downtown Gloucester. Looking at the weather now (11:30am), I think I made the right decision.

My sister worked at AGH for 47 years and had to be at work by 6 am. Those shoe cleats saved her life many times. I think you have the right idea, though. Stay home if you can.
