Happy Holidays Joey:
FYI, I have updated and added more photos to the
posting on the Annisquam Village Lobster Cove Wooden Bridge in Bridgehunter
which will forever be a favorite childhood playground of the Lindberg family
members as well as many more Annisquam residents and visitors . Mike actually had a picture of kids
jumping off bridge which I included in posting.
I think it will bring smiles and stir happy memories and allow everyone to revisit the beautiful bridge
and its history. Happy Holidays ! Bob Lindberg

Thanks for tracking down all this down for us to enjoy! I particularly liked the shot with that schooner waiting at the draw because it documents the size of the ships that plied Lobster Cove years ago.

Thanks for directing me to that link. It’s loaded with interesting facts and local color. Imagine: that schooner in the photo happened to be the last commercial vessel to use the draw.

An early boyhood memory: rattling over the plank bridge in my great aunt’s 1938 Ford station wagon. Some of the planks were always loose, which added a sense of adventure to the xylophone action.
